Cancellation Policy:

Life happens and sometimes you may not make a scheduled ballroom dance lesson.  In the event you need to reschedule, please email or call me as far in advance as possible and you will not be charged for a cancelled/changed lesson if it's more than 24 hours in advance.  Any cancellation within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will result in a $15 fee added to your next lesson.  If I am able to fill your cancelled slot then I will gladly waive the cancellation fee for you.

What do I bring to my ballroom dance lesson?

  • Water - to say hydrated.
  • Clean shoes to change into so the dance floor remains free of dirt from the outside.
  • For Wedding dance couples, cd of song choice(s) to dance to (If I don't already have your song) 
  • For Wedding dance couples, it's recommended to practice in your wedding shoes for a lesson or two.

What do I wear to my ballroom dance lesson?

The dress code is casual.  I want you to be comfortable so you can wear jeans, slacks, business casual, or workout gear.  No special outfits are needed.  Wear comfortable shoes, preferably with leather soles. No flip-flops or slip-on shoes.

How do I pay?

Please pay with cash or check (made payable to Dance Because).  Payment is accepted at the beginning or end of lesson.  Credit cards are not accepted.  If you are purchasing a package, full package payment is due in full upon the first lesson of the package.

Will I experience a price increase?

  • Current Dance Because students will not experience price changes for private ballroom dance lessons or dance lesson packages from the date they first become a student unless more than 30 days lapse in between lessons.
  • In the event that 30 days lapse in between private lessons, the new price per lessons will be charged from that point forward.

Can I buy dance lesson packages?

Yes, dance lesson packages are available for cost savings.  4, 8, and 12 lesson packages are available and can be paid by cash or check.  Payment is accepted at the beginning or end of lesson.  Credit cards are not accepted. 

  • Packages expire 90 days from the date of the last lesson listed on card.
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash or resold to Dance Because.
  • Are only accepted as lesson payment from student(s) who made purchase.
  • Dance Because reserves the right to give a package refund.  If a refund is requested, Dance Because will refund the amount of the package minus the cost of one lesson.

Can I buy gift certificates?

Yes, ballroom dancing & wedding dance gift certificates are available.  Gift certificates can be personalized for your individual need.  Whether it's an engagement, wedding, or an anniversary gift, a birthday present or a holiday gift, or an I-Love-You to someone special, ballroom dancing gift certificates are available and designed specifically for you.  Gift certificates can be used for private dance lessons for a beginner who wants to learn to dance, a social ballroom dancer, or a couple who wants wedding dance lessons.  Contact me to begin designing your gift certificate.  Cash or check (payable to Dance Because) is accepted.

How do I buy ballroom dance shoes?

Selecting a pair of ballroom dance shoes out of the hundreds you may see in a catalog is no easy task.  I recommend Patterson's Back Bay Dancewear in Burlington, MA.  They have the largest in-stock selection in the area of both men and ladies ballroom dance shoes, knowledgable sales people to help with your questions, and give you a 10% discount if you take private dance lessons or ballroom dance classes.   Be sure to mention Dance Because and take a business card along with you.  Enjoy shopping!!   http://www.backbaydancewear.com/

Weather Cancellations:

New Hamphire weather continues to prove unpredictable!  In the event I need to cancel dance lessons due to weather, I will send an email to you followed up by a telephone call to let you know.  Lessons will be rescheduled and no fees will occur.
